Title: Trading In The Zone
Author: Mark Douglas
A brilliant book by Mark Douglas, and considered somewhat of a bible by many traders. Although the contents are not written with Sports Trading in mind, many of the concepts and principles are transferable into our world.
In particular Douglas covers crucial points on discipline and why ingrained mental habits cause inconsistency and ultimately affect your bottom line. There are also important sections on risk, the importance of understanding probability, and the inevitability of losing trades.
All in all, fairly light reading and not highly technical, but full of important information which is extremely well presented. A must read.

Written with entertaining bluntness this book starts at the beginning of Patrick's career, as a gifted teenage mathematician who one day finds himself in a bookmakers. From there he was hooked into the game and started on his fascinating journey.
No particular strategies are revealed apart from the longstanding prerequisites of taking value over time and working extremely hard to learn your craft, but still well worth reading to understand the trials and tribulations of betting at the highest level and the mentality required to end up on top.
Title: The Greatest Trade Ever
Author: Greg Zuckerman
Generating a profit from betting or trading is about identifying value in the market, and you'll doubtful find a more extreme example then the subprime mortgage crisis of 2007.
Expertly written by Zuckerberg the book details how John Paulson shorted the US housing market after correctly predicting it's demise.
Not of directly applicable to sports trading of course, but this does not diminish the importance of strong knowledge within a market, correct technical analysis and the ability to take a contrarian position in the face of ridicule. Well worth reading.
